*WHY A MARIAH CAREY SITE?*
Why Mariah Carey, you ask? Well, if ya really want to know the in depth reason
why, read my story at the Lamb For Life page. For site purposes, I did the MC Experience for the simple fact of me wanting to express my love for Mariah. Also
I wanted to have a place for fans to come and chat and just enjoy some Mariah themed stuff. I made this site like a REAL fan
would. It's not fancy, it's not a database or some sort of fantastic domain. I wanted to make a site even with my lack of
money and minimal HTML knowledge (I did take a class in web designing-Senior blowfoff class!) and it's raw and real. I wanted
to share with fans my Mariah love and hope that they could share their Mariah Carey experiences with me.
*WHY THE NAME "THE MC EXPERIENCE"?*
Well, this site first started out as a blog on Xanga entitled "Glittering Mariah",
Xanga had confusing navigation so I left to start anew on Bravenet, but Bravenet annoyed me so I came to Tripod after a good
friend showed me her site hosted on Tripod, so I checked it out, liked what Tripod had to offer and set forth to create
"The Mariah Carey Experience" or "MC Expereince" or "MC Xperience" or "MCX" for short (no preference on how it's spelled!).
The name derived from the day my dad pulled out his collection of old records
and was I reminiscing with him when he pulled out some Jimi Hendrix records. Jimi Hendrix had a group named The Jimi
Hendrix Experience during his first run as a superstar. I always thought that was a cool name for a group cause you are experiencing
what they have to offer and that's what I thought a Mariah Carey site is like. I think any Mariah Carey site or any site is
like for that matter, you are experiencing the artist and learning more about them and that's what this site does.
Can you experience it? (lovely catch phrase right?)
*THE FUTURE OF THE MC EXPERIENCE*
What is the future for this site? Well, hopefully I want it to be successful
and it's starting to be! It's been a full year that I have ran this site and it's getting better such as the graphics,
photos and information and as long as Mariah is in business then everything on here will be running smoothly! I want
to keep adding more stuff to it as the years go by and if I even have a chance, make it it's own domain and go HTML crazy.
But I'm having it too good here so we'll see!

college student who has been a die hard fan of Mariah Carey since 1995 when "Daydream" was issued.
